Clan Maclean Heritage Trust

We promote the education of the public in the history, heritage, traditions and music of the Clan Maclean by commemorating famous events in its history, erecting cairns on relevant sites; recording and publicising significant contributions of Macleans by installing memorial plaques; contributing to the restoration of important Clan associated buildings; acquiring, restoring and preserving books and manuscripts about distinguished Clan members and Clan history, and making them available to the public; producing publications, maintaining an educational website for the public in the history and traditions of the Clan; promoting other educational activities relating to its history and culture; funding a piping bursary for young Macleans; helping finance piping tuition and pipe bands in the Maclean clan lands; sponsoring competitions in the playing and composition of pipe music and in Gaelic singing.

We welcome also manuscripts and books about Macleans and gifts of historic artefacts associated with famous Macleans. See the Donations and subscriptions page for practical information on how you could help.
